iConference 2012

iConference 2012 | Culture · Design · Society, hosted by the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto and sponsored by the iSchools organization, will be held in Toronto, February 7–10, 2012. The iConference is an annual gathering of a broad spectrum of scholars and researchers concerned about critical information issues in contemporary society. The iConference pushes the boundaries of information studies, explores core concepts and ideas, and creates new technological and conceptual configurations—all situated in interdisciplinary discourses.

Submission of papers: Among various submission types (see the full call for participation), we’re looking for full papers, six to eight pages long, reporting original research. Papers should be submitted as PDF files conforming to ACM style. To format your paper in ACM style, please use one of the templates at http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates; please remember to convert your paper to PDF before submission. Each submission should be accompanied by an abstract of up to 150 words. Submissions will be reviewed in a single-blind process (i.e., reviewers will know the identity of authors, but not vice versa). Reviewers will evaluate submissions on criteria such as originality, significance, soundness, clarity, and relevance. Authors of accepted papers will be asked to submit their final versions as Word files, again following the ACM style, and these will be published in the ACM Digital Library.
